Skills:
  • CG TD production experience as a generalist: CG pipeline development and implementation, Python/Pymel Scripting, Maya API, and shot layout.
  • Production experience using Maya, mental ray, Shake, After Effects, RUSH and Photoshop.
  • Wide and practical knowledge utilizing Python, Qt/PyQt, Maya scripting (MEL)/Pymel, SVN, BASH, and Perl for artist-centric production tools, automation, asset management and version control.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot production problems, and proactively work to minimize their impact on production.
  • Confident working independently, as part of a team, and adaptable to change.
  • Extensive knowledge of all major platforms UNIX (Linux), Mac OS X and Windows.

Production Experience
Pipeline TD: CIS Vancouver, Vancouver, BC (07/08 – Present)
  • Design, development and implementation of core pipeline and asset/project management system.
  • Documented and maintained robust, readable, high quality, and version controlled code.
  • Provided shot support and troubleshooting for artists and department heads on various shows.
  • Developed tools for importing various types of point data into maya, including lidar scans and survey data.
  • Developed and maintained proprietary tools, plug-ins, scripts and recommended relevant alternatives.
  • Created UI's with tight integration to the studio pipeline, database and 3rd party software packages.
  • Worked with each shows production team in developing tools for incoming, in-house and client delivery material. Including plates, dailies, quicktimes, final delivery, etc.
  • Interviewing of technical support/director candidates.
  • Training of in-house tools for artists, leads and supervisors.
Technical Director: Nanotoon Entertainment, Troy, NY (03/06 – 06/08)
  • Development and implementation of unique molecular simulation environment, toolset and plug-ins using Maya's API, used to handle massive scientific datasets real-time.
  • Design, implementation, testing and documentation of entire production pipeline.
  • Staff training and mentoring for use of custom tools, software development, and Maya/mental ray issues.
  • Development and layout of various shots for production in coordination with Director.
